• Katherine and Mark research primarily in the field of computational modelling of speech production and perception. Since 1980 we have been responsible for introducing the Theory of Cognitive Phonetics, Pragmatic Phonetics, and the idea that speech production is a managed process, involving supervision by an intelligent Cognitive Phonetics Agent.

• We offer consultancy in the areas of speech production and perception, speech synthesis and speech recognition, computational modelling of the production and perception processes.
